Loma Linda Academy is offering a paid internship for the summer of 2012 for business students to work in the Business Office of the Academy.
The purpose of this internship is to acquaint business students with vocational opportunities in the Adventist educational system while performing various projects and tasks for the school. The successful candidate will obtain experience in all areas of academy business office functions, including student billing, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, inventory management, payroll, information technology and plant operations.
The internship can be designed around a 10-week or 12-week schedule, depending on availability. It is anticipated that the intern will begin in June and finish in September. This is a full-time assignment that will involve 38 hours each week, Monday through Thursday. During the period of a 4-day workweek, this will involve 9.5 hours/day. The schedule will revert to Monday through Friday when school begins at the Academy in August
The internship will be with the Business Office at Loma Linda Academy, 10656 Anderson Street, Loma Linda, CA 92354, but will involve interaction with other departments on campus, and may also include some work at other locations.
The internship pays $9.00 per hour. There are no other employee benefits included with this temporary position.
This internship is open to business majors that have completed at least one year of college/university level classes, including one year of accounting. All applicants must be members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
