Meet the Firms Night | Live Updates and Additional Job/Internship Opportunities!

Now in its 29th year, our Annual Sam Croft Meet the Firms Night is designed to provide our students with the opportunity to engage with local business representatives, some of which are currently offering job and internship positions with their respective organizations. With the event rapidly approaching (Oct 18, at 6:30 P.M. in the La Sierra University Alumni Center), we will be regularly releasing a series of updates and tips for our students. If you represent a business interested in having a table at this annual event, please visit http://iebizbook.com/bizexpo/biz-expo-registration/.

Special Job/Internship Announcements for Students

    1. Don Dyer, from Adventist Health, in Roseville, California, will be on-campus not only for Meet the Firms Night on Thursday, October 18, but also to interview potential graduating accounting majors interested in going for their CPA. Full-time employment would start in summer of 2013.  So, both seniors and MBA students may sign up if you qualify for the auditing positions. Cheryl Bauman has packets in her office that contain the employment application. There are other important facts you need to be informed of BEFORE the interview, so make sure you stop by and pick one up when you sign-up for a time (SB room 102).
    2.  Interviews for Adventist Health System (AHS) summer internships for both accounting/finance and management/human resources will take place on Friday, October 19, from 9 AM – 12 PM. Interviews for their residency programs in all of these fields will be available as well. AHS has 43 hospital campuses in 10 different states. We strongly suggest you visit their website at http://www.adventisthealthsystem.com/business-internships and fill out their job application this week and print off any other important facts so you can prepare yourselves for the interviews. Sign-up sheets for this are outside Cheryl Bauman’s . First come, first served and there are only 9 spots for each area.
    3. General Conference Auditing Services will be coming on campus, the 18th, but not to interview. They will be speaking with Danette Zurek’s financial accounting class and Kan Sugandh’s intermediate accounting I course. All three of these entities will be on board for Meet the Firms Night that evening.
    4. Kettering Medical Center, while they will not be at Meet the Firms Night, will be coming on campus to do some interviews on Thursday, October 25 for their summer internships. David Gordon from Adventist Health System (Florida) may wish to speak with some of our accounting/finance classes on that day as well. Both entities are flying in for the Job Fair at Loma Linda University on the 26th.
